1. How do I become a member of this site?
• Membership is only available to Anaesthetists practising in Subang Jaya Medical Centre.
• Membership is only by invitation.
• There is no application process by which anyone else can become a member.

5. Why can't I seem to save the pages I want?
• If you want to save a page with all its images intact, just,
• Download the latest version of Internet Explorer.
• Then when you come across a page that you want to save in all its full glorious 16.7 million colours, select File | Save As,
• Choose a suitable location for the web-page and
• Give it a relevant name that you can remember. Voila! You've done it.
• When you want to view the web-page that you have so diligently saved,
• Fire up Internet Explorer, Firefox or whatever is your favourite web browser,
• Select File | Open Page, or use the key short-cut Ctrl-O,
• Browse till you find the page (file) you are interested in, and
• Double-click on the file, not the folder, with the name that you have chosen.
• The alternative is to find the file in Windows Explorer and double-click on it.
• If you don't quite feel like downloading the 17 MB of IE 5.0 (the full install is 65 MB, compressed) then stick with the old routine which unfortunately does not save the images with the page.
• To save the correct page, you must first select the page.
• This is done by clicking on any part of the page that you are interested in. However, you must avoid hyperlinked areas, for obvious reasons.

6. Why are there are no images when I view the saved pages?
• The best solution is given above.
• For those with a sadistic streak, the following steps may be attempted.
• Images must be saved separately from the .html page itself.

7. Although I followed your instructions, why don't the images appear?
• Often, the images are saved in a folder different from that in which the source .html file was from.
• Unfortunately, the process to try and make the images appear automatically in this case, is rather complicated and much too complex to explain properly in this faq.
• Your best bet is to right-click on the image icon of interest, look at the name of the image file and then view the image on its own by entering its full file pathname into the location box. The actual pathname would depend on where you have saved the image file.

8. What are the optimum settings for my browser when surfing this site?
• For full functionality, the following settings should be used,
• Javascript turned on,
• The browser set to receive cookies automatically, and
• The display set to 1024 x 768 x 24-bit colour. This is not essential but would make some of the pages fit better into the available display area.
• Javascript and cookies have been used to keep track of when you last visited the site, allowing you to browse only those sections that have been updated since your last visit. However, they are not essential for you to have full access to the site (assuming you are a member of the Members Only Area).

9. I can't seem to get back to the page I came from
   The best way is to use the Back function.
   o    Press ALT-LeftArrow or Backspace,
   o    Click on the Back button with the mouse, or
   o    Select View, Go To, Back
   This is one problem of not using frames. Navigation becomes more difficult.
   
   As a last resort, if you get totally lost, click on the hyperlink found at the bottom of every page to bring you back to the index page.

10. Forgotten your password (15 May 2006: No longer relevant)?

    When you try to access any of the Members-Only pages, you will be asked to supply your username and password. If you have forgotten your password,
    o    Click on Forgot your password?
    o    You will then be given 1 of 2 options depending on how you are registered with Tripod.
        >>    If you are given the option to e-mail me my password, then select this option as it is the easiest. However, if you do so, you must change your password as sending the password by e-mail would have compromised on the security of your password.

11. Forgotten your username (15 May 2006: No longer relevant)?
    
    This is a bit trickier.
    o    First, click on Forgot your password? as in the above answer.
    o    Then, when asked for your Tripod Member Name, enter a random sequence of characters and leave the password blank.
    o    Next click on the word "here" at the end of the line Retrieve your lost password here.
    o    Click on Find Member Name, and
    o    Provide your e-mail address as registered with Tripod.
