At the 12 July 2000 MAB meeting, it was revealed that the corporate discounts and limitations did not apply in the case of ICU/CCU/NICU Consultation Charges. This was reconfirmed by Ms. Elaine Cheong, Director of Corporate Services and Dr. Jacob Thomas (MAB meeting 9 August 2000), in several subsequent meetings. Therefore,
There is no limit on the number of visits we can charge for ICU patients, and
You are free to charge A, B, C, D, or E regardless of the Corporate Discounts that the patient is normally eligible for.
