On 07 January 2000, I distributed a form to ask if anyone objected to a request from Prof. Wang of the University Hospital Kuala Lumpur for their fourth year Medical Students to come to SJMC for attachments in neurosurgical anaesthesia. Dr. Charlie Chan had volunteered to teach these students.
There were no objections and this was duly conveyed to Dr. Jacob Thomas at the next MAB meeting. However, as it turned out, the number of neurosurgical cases dropped drastically at that time as Dr. Lee Foo Chiang had started operating in Sunway Medical Centre. Therefore, the idea was dropped.
