What We Thought was the Final Episode of
Hb in Labour

After more than a year, Dr. Hamid, Chairman of the Perinatal Subcommittee finally issued the following letter dated 12 May 1999:-
Letter from Dr. Hamid to O&G Consultants and Labour Ward Staff
The midwives are henceforth required to ensure that all admissions to labour ward have a Hb done within the last 30 days. With this, all patients in labour coming for Caesarean section should have a Hb done within the last 30 days. If you find any patients without the requisite investigation, please inform either the labour ward manager or myself (Kok Wah) for further action.


CASE CLOSED.
